The PTO had a wonderful meeting last night with lots of great discussion about on-going and upcoming PTO events. We got an update from the Race for Education committee – things are running smoothly and ahead of schedule – and PTO members selected their top 3 t-shirt designs for students to vote for. The Raising for Risers campaign has raised nearly $10,000 with the help of our outstanding community and local businesses. The PTO members voted to approve using reserve funds to cover whatever fundraising balance remains at the end of April, to secure the much-needed risers for Washington students to use for years to come! There were also great updates about the coming Teacher Appreciation week, Restaurant Fundraisers, and more.

Our next meeting will be May 11th, and it’s a doozy: We’ll be reviewing and approving the budget for next school year, and voting on two officer positions: President and Secretary.
