Meeting Minutes May 11th 2026

The Washington PTO had a busy meeting yesterday evening with tons of updates around the Raising for Risers campaign, the upcoming Race for Education, and setting things up for the next school year.

The Race for Education committee gave a great update; things are on track for our May 29th event.  T-shirts will be ordered this Wednesday, and the PTO will be looking for some volunteers to sign up soon for some help on the day of the event.

The Raising for Risers campaign is wrapping up; thank you so much to everyone who donated and all of our local business sponsors! The PTO approved using our reserve funds during April’s meeting, so we will be placing the order for the new risers this coming Friday!

Voting occurred for two officer positions for the next two years: We had no applicants for the President’s position, so Allison stated she will remain in the position until someone else can be elected, hopefully at the first meeting next year.  Paul ran and was elected to another term as PTO secretary.

Finally, several aspects of next year’s proposed budget were discussed, and the Treasurer is putting together a budget proposal which will be posted here.  If you have any feedback or suggestions for next year’s PTO budget please let us know through email!  The final ’26-27 budget will be approved by the officers in June, which allows for the results of the Race for Education as well as any last minute budget proposals to be considered.
